Will my hair grow back thicker and darker?
No — this is the most common myth about dermaplaning. Vellus hair (peach fuzz) grows back at the same rate and thickness as before. The blade only cuts the hair at the surface; it doesn't change the root.
Is this just shaving my face?
No — it's a full facial first. The dermaplaning pass is one step in an 80–95 minute treatment: double cleanse, enzymatic mask, steam, extractions, dermaplaning, high frequency, mask, massage, serums, SPF. It's a professional treatment, not a quick shave.
Can I do this if I have acne?
